Bedfield and Monk Soham Garden Club

We hold informal, friendly, monthly meetings and respond to our members’ suggestions in developing a wide range of activities, for example, outings, demonstrations and talks on any number of subjects including soil, vegetables, flowers, wildlife and the natural environment. We have created, and maintain, a wildlife meadow for the community.

The club runs a successful plant stall for the community, and supports village events, whether for fun or for charity.  We also share in activities with other local clubs, and have a friendly website group.

We warmly welcome any interested folk regardless of gardening knowledge or experience.

Meetings are usually held on the 3rd Friday of the month at 7:30pm at the Commuinity Club (Sports Pavilion) Occasionally this may vary and is currently subject to Covid restrictions.

Our Daisy Cottage plant stall has now finished till the Spring. Thank you again to Debbie Pritchard for maintaining it. We hope you have enjoyed the plants you’ve purchased.

Thank you to Gay and Geoff (Clarke) for a really successful August summer’s evening garden ge together. They offered a selection of garden games, some delicious cake and, as promised by Gay, a stunning sunset!

Our September meeting is one of our popular ‘Warts ‘N All’ Garden visits to Lisa (Crane) at 3, Chambers Close, September 16th. 6pm prompt. Informal friendly gardening ideas and inspirations shared with our host. Refreshments too.

Our Community Seed Swap continues at Bedfield Hub, Tuesday mornings 9.15 am - 12 noon. Everybody is welcome to take a look, or donate any labelled, unwanted, excess or harvested seeds (and treat yourself to the Hub’s legendary home-made baking and a hot drink, 10 am - 12 noon).

Meanwhile, happy gardening and some rain please! Barbara (Lee)
